After my week in Mexico, i was headed for 5 weeks in Brazil. Which i was so excited for. I have always wanted to come, since i was 13. Which was when Flavia from Rio. And then going to Germany, meeting Brazilian exchange students there, and hearing them speak.
So i landed in Sao Paulo, pretty much the buisness centre of Brazil, lots and lots of buildings, and many people too. Giovanna, who was on exchange in Australia the same time as Flavia, picked me up from the airport. We headed back to her apartment, where her 2 sister Priscilla, and Isabella (who also spent one year in Aus, in Frankston) also live. Flavia was there too, she flew down from Rio we could all spend the weekend together. Which was lovely.
This place, i have forgotten the name of. Is a place in Brazil, that sells different things for very very cheap. People buy in bulk, then they sell them for a higher price. Its a horrible place to go. People from allover Brazil come to this one street. When we said to Priscilla that Flavia and i would go there. She questioned why, because its not a nice place. And later on I said this to her. She was right, but as an outsider it was interesting to see.
Its crowded year round.
An example of what and how they sell.
But right near there, there is a fresh produce Market.

Mixed varieties of fruits.
herbs and spices
Meats and Cheeses
and Pastel - which i love. Its very unhealthy, but typically Brazilian. It basically adding anything edible to pastry and deep frying it.

Brazilians love Buffets, Well this is my assumption since they are everywhere. This is in Japanese food form. Except you just ask the waiter what you want. We ate lots of Sushi, i also had noodles, all so delicious.
Vegetarian Sushi
SP. I had just come from Mexico, where there was so much traffic . Here there was also alot, but the difference being SP traffic is Organised, the Mexicans drove crazy.
Federal election time in Brazil, the way the campaign is so different from home.
people everywhere waving flags, cars all over the place with the candidates pictures, music playing out of cars, or on the back of bikes, motor and push bike, people standing at traffic lights handing out leaflets to drivers and passers by.
The MASP building. MUSEUM OF ART SAO PAULO. Its considered a main landmark for modern Brazilian architecture, constructed in 1968. Known internationally for its collection of Western Art - considered the finest in Latin America and also the Southern Hemisphere. Includes also Brazilian, African and Asian Art.

Priscilla and myself, having a beer with her friend.
motorbikes and chairs ( where we had the beer)
The last night i was in SP, Gi and i went to have dinner at her parents home. About an hour away. They live in a secure community, which means there is a large security wall, surrounding the area.
Then i got a plane to Curitiba, This is a beautiful tree at the bus depot. These trees are seen everywhere. From there i got a bus to my next destination.
