Curitiba - the city where Veronica and Gustavo study and live

Veronica and Gustavo (who i met up with in Balneario Cambriou) are both friends from Exchange. They both live in a small town 5 hours out of the city of Curitiba. But now they both live and study there.

First night togther enjoying a beer and some garlic bread.
Beer with Salt and Lemon - Nice

Thursday night, the second night, we went to the German bar. Which is very popular there in Curitiba.

Our beers had Jaegermeister in the small shot glass inside the beer.

With one of Veve's friends

Veve took me to visit the Oscar Niemeyer Museum of art - the eye

Out on Friday night with Veve and her girls

Veve's friend on the left came to Australia on Exchange, and Caro on the right, she spent some time working in Disneyland in the U.S
This is us, 3 years ago
And this is us now.

Veve baked a cake - she just moved into a single person apartment, so this is pretty much the first cake she has ever baked. Exciting moment
Then Later we enjoyed it.

With some Banana chips, which are salty and deep fried.
Love the variety of fruit in Brazil.

Hand made/hippy market in Curitiba on Sunday.

- Tasting Tapoica -
The lady who prepared it for us. I loved what she was wearing - Veve said its from the north of Brazil.

MARKET
Veve said, at Christmas little kids sing carols out the windows. Very sweet apparently.
Sunday night was Mexican for us 2.
Veve and I then went on a Hop on Hop off bus tour.
This was a German stop - As Germans are one of many immigrants to Brazil.

In the German Forest was the story of Hansel and Gretel under little shelters along the path

SO apparently this is the worlds largest Restaurant

And this was the old building.

This is a Capybara native in parts of South America - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Capybara
They kinda reminded me of beavers
We especially came to this park to see them, as i wanted to see some wildlife.
Its just a normal park that people go jogging n what not through.
I was very excited and amazed

This is the old paths of Curitiba underneath the glass.
This was exciting. It was Tuesday the 28th of September. And Veve's mum saw on the TV that the world was a little tilted on this day. So it was possible to stand an egg up, so i tried, and it worked.
Veve was pretty excited too.
My last day there we spent in the Gardens, just relaxing after a hectic week.

We had snacks with us, and as we were packing up, one of the kids from the family on the hill there came to us and asked for our left over food. I've never experienced anything like that before. After we gave her what we had which wasn't much, she said i want the chocolate, she could see a chocolate box in a plastic bag, it was however empty.

I spose this is like a green house in the Botanical Gardens.

I loved this image because, the two structures are very different, but stand so close together.
These are the trees native to that area in Brazil

As it was my last evening there we went out for drinks.

Football and Samba in the same Bar - Welcome to Brazil

Officially my last day there, we went to visit the Japanese Park
Located right amongst the buildings.
Thats what Curitiba is known for, its parks and Gardens. All over the city there are small pieces of Parks where people can relax.

We Quickly went home and Veve made her second cake, and my last with her.
Then she took me to the Bus station and we said our goodbyes. I did get to catch up with Gustavo one night for beers and Japanese food. I also got to see a friend i made in Balneario Cambriou, Giovanna.
