SO after being with Amber a week, i was able to contact Clara and organise to visit her in New Hampshire, which is another state, just above massachusetts. A train to me from Kalamazoo to Chicago, then another out to the Chicago airport. But this part of the trip was much longer than i expected and i just missed check in time. So i missed my plane, but it worked out for the better, i didn't have as many stop overs as the original flight and i was to land in Boston massachusetts 3 minutes later.
This is where Clara, who is jet another friend from my German year, we drove 2 hours to reach our destination, which was great to catch up. Up into New Hampshire to a place called Marlow.
Clara has been out here the past 7 summers. Here is the base camp of Kroka expeditions, which a program for kids over summer and throughout the year where they take camping, hiking, paddling, climbing trips learning about and living with the environment around them. http://www.kroka.org/ thats their link.
We went for a swim here the first day.
This is the outside kitchen the staff cook in.
15 minutes before each meal was ready, a big bell would be rung, then once again when the food was ready, then if people wouldn't come then they would dong it once more. Then before each meal, a song would be sung
Clara and Dominica (from Ecudor - they have another base camp there) making preparing the hide for leather

Me in Clara's tent
her cosy little tent, lit by a lantern.
When i arrived to the camp it was 1.30 in the morning, and the first thing i noticed was the stars, they shone so bright, it was amazing and great to be with nature again.
this was one of the workers dogs Tugboat was his name, he was a fantastic dog
this little hut on the left was where the outside kitchen was next to.
Scandanavian style huts
I was there 4 nights, and on my last morning I went for a 10 minute walk because Clara told me I could see a Beaver house.
yay the beaver house
I didn't get to see a Beaver, but at least i could see where they luve
Me and the Beaver house, Beavers are my favourite animals. I think they are very intelligent.
a look at the farm. To earn my keep i helped paint one of the sheds. Poppa would be proud
When i left there, i flew out of Manchester airport. My flight was not until 6 pm, but i was able to get a lift there in the morning, so i took it. I spent some time in that city, its the biggest city in New Hampshire, but not the capital, big being 75,000. It was a Saturday, so there were no buses from the city to the airport, but they had this shuttle bus that takes people to whatever destination. So i got one bus to meet this bus. It was a good as a Taxi, got me there quick and only cost $1.50.
